What is blockchain?

Blockchain is the most secure way to facilitate online transactions. This is because it uses what’s referred to as a distributed network which has complexities a traditional network does not. These complexities lead to different strengths and weaknesses in a blockchain application (called a Dapp, or Distributed Application).

 

We see blockchain as the first step into the future of distributed networks. There is efficiency in the proof, the security, the time and the cost of transactions. Though there are still many issues with distributed networks, the benefits already outweigh the inconveniences, which are being improved upon daily.
